ECM welcomes Anastasiya Martyts

Anastasiya joined Prof. Mazza’s group as a PhD student and will investigate the effects of mechanical loading on skin cells and wound healing.

Anastasiya Martyts

Anastasiya Martyts was born in Ukraine and moved to Toronto, Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science at the University of Toronto, specializing in biomedical systems engineering. She completed her undergraduate thesis with Prof. Michael Sefton, working on development of tissue engineered islets to treat diabetes.
Anastasiya completed her MSc in Biomedical Engineering at ETH Zurich and conducted her masters thesis under Prof. Marcy Zenobi-Wong, working on bioinks for 3D printing cartilage.
