ECM welcomes Lorenza Garau Paganella
Lorenza is now a PhD candidate shared between the group of Prof. Mazza, and Prof. Tibbitt focusing on the synthesis of hydrogel materials to develop tunable 3D culture systems for dermal fibroblasts, allowing to investigate and modulate how different physical and chemical stimuli affect cell responses.
Håvar Junker joins ECM!
Håvar Junker started his journey of Doctrate study in the ECM group from 1st of September, 2020. He will focus on mechanical characterization of the human skin.
New PhD student Dunja Al-Nuaimi joins ECM
A warm welcome to Dunja Al-Nuaimi who joined Prof. Mazza’s group as a PhD student! Dunja will work on the mechanobiological effects of biomaterials in children with congenital heart defects.
Simone Tonnicchia joins ECM!
A warm welcome to Simone Tonnicchia who joined Prof. Mazza’s group as a PhD student! Simone will work on design, fabrication and validation of rationally engineered substrates for the rejuvenation of human endothelia.
A new PostDoc at ECM
Andreas has recently joined forces with the Group of Experimental and Continuum Mechanics at ETH Zurich to engineer biological interfaces that are compliant with the human skin, improving patients experience with life-supporting biomedical equipment.
