New PhD student Dunja Al-Nuaimi joins ECM
A warm welcome to Dunja Al-Nuaimi who joined Prof. Mazza’s group as a PhD student! Dunja will work on the mechanobiological effects of biomaterials in children with congenital heart defects.
Dunja Al-Nuaimi received her Bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Zürich (UZH) in 2018. She then moved to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) to pursue her Master’s degree in molecular health sciences, which was awarded in 2020. Her Master’s thesis was completed at the Wyss Institute (Harvard University), where she worked on the development of organoid-derived 3D kidney models for disease modeling and drug-screening applications.
